Established business unit within Boeing Satellite Systems, New Market Development.  Business focused on the digital distribution, via satellite and fiber, of major motion pictures for theatrical release.  Revenue potential exceeded $500M annually at full deployment.  Responsibilities included:

·                   Executive management of all activities.

·                   Business & strategic planning.

·                   Specification of system architecture for secure/transactional digital movie distribution system

·                   Domestic and international marketing & promotion

Successes included the development of a prototype digital movie distribution system, the worlds’ first digital distribution, over satellite and fiber, of a major motion picture “Bounce” and distribution for the digital premiere of “Spy Kids.”  Also directed and executed major promotional events including Cannes Film Festival, ShoWest and CineExpo.

Directed business and marketing activities for satellite services business.  Company provided distribution of business and entertainment content over satellite.  Company revenue exceeded $20M.  Responsibilities included:

·                     Domestic and international promotion & client relationships 

Major achievements include establishing product/service offerings for ABC NewsOne, Walt Disney Company, Miramax Films, Paramount Film Distribution and Sony Pictures.  

 

       

Sr. Vice President & Executive Producer – Network Event Theater  

Beverly Hills, CA  (01/96 - 01/99)

Directed deployment and operations for a nationwide network of electronic cinemas.  Business focused on the distribution and exhibition of feature film entertainment on college and university campuses.  Company revenues exceeded $40M annually.  Responsibilities included:

·                   Executive management of all technical and production activities

·                   Budgeting & allocation (in excess of $5M annually)

·                   Vendor contract negotiations

·                   Hardware & software specification

Successes included the deployment of DBS satellite network infrastructure, design, integration and installation of

in-theater audio-video hardware, automation systems & control software.  Also planned, produced and executed over 30 satellite broadcast events.
